FIRST, I want to THANK ALL THE PEOPLE WHO TOOK THE TIME TO LEAVE COMMENTS about my previous pics. I REALLY DO APPRECIATE you all taking the time to do that. I spend a good amount of time on both taking the pics and posting them up and it really does me good to know that the effort is appreciated. Thank you!
About two weeks ago I had to go down to Times Square. As I exited out of the subway I stepped right into a horde of SCREAMING girls standing in front of an empty stage. I didn't at all know what was going on and most of the adult passerbys didn't either. Lol! We had no clue who was getting ready to appear on stage. Since I had my camera with me, I decided to stick around and take some pics of whomever showed up. The one problem was that it was raining pretty badly.
While I was waiting I started to speak to some of the adults who were with some of the girls and they told me that the group getting ready to appear was a Nickelodeon boy band group named Big Time Rush.

Obviously, I had never heard of the group, but then again I am a bit too old for Nickelodeon shows. Lol! :D Just in case you are like me and don't know who they are, here is what Wiki has to say about them:
Big Time Rush is an American teen comedy musical television sitcom, airing on Nickelodeon, about four hockey-playing teenage boys from Minnesota, Kendall Knight, James Diamond, Carlos Garcia and Logan Mitchell, who are suddenly brought to Hollywood by record producer Gustavo Rock to become the next hit-making boy band.
Four hockey friends from Minnesota — Kendall Knight (Kendall Schmidt), James Diamond (James Maslow), Carlos Garcia (Carlos Pena Jr.), and Logan Mitchell (Logan Henderson) — successfully try out to be the "next great boy band."[1] They move to Los Angeles, California, where they attend Palm Woods School, a special school just for actors, singers, and other performers. The boys routinely come into conflict with their overbearing, outrageous, hard-driving (but successful) boy band manager, Gustavo Rocque (Stephen Kramer Glickman), and his well-meaning lovely assistant Kelly Wainwright (Tanya Chisholm), while trying to impress Gustavo's boss, Arthur Griffin (Matt Riedy), so that they can become successful, and so far, so good.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Knight (Challen Cates) helps keep the boys in line while trying to get her daughter, Katie (Ciara Bravo), an acting or singing career as well. The four teens are also regularly seen with and helping a young boy, Tyler (Tucker Albrizzi), who has a mother obsessed with his acting career, as they also have many incidents in which they impress or hang out with a rad teenager at the Palm Woods named Guitar Dude (Barnett O'Hara). They also repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempt to get dates with the large number of young women, including the Jennifers (Denyse Tontz (Jennifer 1), Spencer Locke/Kelli Goss (Jennifer 2), and Savannah Jayde (Jennifer 3), who also attend their school.
* Kendall Knight (Kendall Schmidt) - Kendall is the schemer and leader of the group. According to Kelly, Kendall is tall, blonde, and all eyebrows. He is 16 years old. Gustavo chose Kendall as his singer in "Big Time Audition," but Kendall talked Gustavo into letting him, James, Carlos, and Logan become a singing group. He was supposed to be the bad boy of the band, but refused. His sister is Katie Knight, who helps her brother sometimes. For example, when she found out Jo was lying about having a boyfriend, she told him and helped him get a date. After the events in episode "Big Time Dance" to Jo's surprise, Kendall revealed he thought that they were together, so they are indeed a couple. He is shown as a loyal friend, with good ideas and sarcasm.
* James Diamond (James Maslow) - James is the one who originally wanted to be in a boy band. He is apparently obsessed with his hair and good looks and always keeps his lucky comb in his jacket and takes personal head shots of himself. According to Carlos, he always gets the girls and declares himself the "pretty one." He is upset when Mercedes Griffin picks everyone else in the band to be her boyfriend and not him at all. But afterwards, he feels better when she admits she doesn't date anyone prettier than her. He is also a little obsessed with bandanas and always suggests to wear them. He also has an alter ego called "Bandana Man" which is him wrapped in several purple bandanas. He used to frequently use a body spray called Barracuda man spray, but he stopped using it after he suffered from an allergic reaction due to the spray. Though, in some episodes after this it is shown he still uses it. He, alongside Carlos, strives to be the "Hollywood Super Party Kings of Hollywood."
* Carlos Garcia (Carlos Pena Jr.) - Carlos is the joker of the band and always wears his hockey helmet. His dad is a cop who takes his job seriously and has gone through sensitivity training nine times. He has never had a real girlfriend (besides Mercedes Griffin, the daughter of Griffin who forced him into the relationship) and thinks being carried by Freight Train, Gustavo's new bodyguard, is "kinda fun." He seems to be very easygoing, and whenever the others start to get into a fight, he suggests thinking "happy thoughts about kittens." He strives to be, alongside James, one of the "Hollywood Super Party Kings of Hollywood." It has been implied that he and horror-film enthusiast Stephanie King may now be dating after she managed to drag him away from the Jennifers during their school dance, where they forced him to play three different guys, where as Stephanie likes Carlos for who he really is.
* Logan Mitchell (Logan Henderson) - Logan is the genius of the group, but panics under pressure. Whenever the others are doing something bad and they tell him to join them, he always says "I've gotta get new friends," but still joins them afterward. It was unsure if he knows about Camille's deep crush on him, but when she kissed him pretending it was for an audition for One Tree Hill, he said he was pleasantly surprised. It is implied that he is returning her crush, Camille being quick to forgive him when he attempted to be with her and Mercedes Griffin at the same party. Remarking "you're really cool," the two shared a dance together. When they had a school dance, Logan's first choice for a date was Camille. She, however, stated that she wished to be asked in a more memorable way. After several failed attempts, Logan showed up on a "horse" (Kendall and James in costume), where she finally agreed to be his date. It is not stated, but it is assumed that he and Camille are now dating. He has a learner's permit. He is the most level-headed and realistic of the four and always sees the downside to the others' schemes.

Before they came out, and during their concert, the big electronic billboards displayed images of them.
They then came out right in front of me and went up onto the stage. The concert was getting filmed and I think the plan was to show the footage in one of their episodes. Since it was getting filmed they performed the concert three times. When they got on the stage the girls went CRAZY screaming and swooning! It was so much fun to watch. It reminded me of my Menudo days when I was a teenager! :D LOL!

Logan couldn't stop smiling the whole time he was up there.
James just kept flipping, jumping and running all over the place.
Carlos kept hyping up the crowd, though honestly they didn't really need much hyping up.
And Kendall seemed to be the heartthrob of the band.
They only performed three songs, Big Time Rush, The City is Ours and Famous, and I have to admit that after hearing them three times they kind of grew on me, especially Big Time Rush. Here are clips of each song from the concert itself.
In between the takes Jordin Sparks, American Idol's sixth season winner, came out to speak about how much she loved the group. The following first photo is NOT mine. I got it from here.
Those pictures of her are not good, but I am actually surprised that I got anything at all because the rain was coming down so badly.
You can tell how bad the rain was because by the time the boys went to do another take of the concert they were pretty wet, ....
.... but that didn't stop them from performing. :)
It turned out that Jordin Sparks was going to be one of the BTR episodes and that is why she was there. After BTR finished their takes of the concert, Jordin came back out on stage in order for the crew to get some professional photos. Initially she was smiling, but then it seemed that someone in the crowd did or said something wrong that upset her.
However, she seemed to shake it off and she waved to the crowd.
I thought it was funny that initially James put up the peace sign behind Kendall's head while the pictures were being taken.
Eventually he got serious though. :D
Kendall then went back to center stage and gave the crowd a big kiss goodbye. :)
As they were walking off the stage I took this shot and it wasn't until I got home that I realized what one individual was doing. I wonder if this is what upset Jordin? Who the hell would do this in crowd full of children? How classless. The hands look like they belong to an adult too. How sad.
The boys then were escorted back into the building whose entrance was right in front of where I was standing.
There was a nice young girl and her mother next to me. The girl was so happy because it turned out her favorite BTR guy, Kendall, had touched her hand as he passed her. :D :D
Right then the woman in this picture below asked the girl if Kendall had been nice to her. It turns out she is related to Kendall and the gentleman in the photo is Kendall's father.
The boys were taken into the Condé Nast Building, which is on Broadway between 42nd and 43rd streets and which houses the NASDAQ MarketSite, that is the NASDAQ Stock Market, in its northwest corner. I was going to go on my way at that point, but then I noticed a crowd of girls gathering on the sidewalk and looking up at the building.
It turned out the boys were taken to the NASDAQ portion of the building and that they were standing right by the windows, intermittently looking down at the crowd of girls. Every time one of them looked down, or waved, or made some other funny gesture the girls went CRAZY! Crew from the show came down to film the girls' reactions.
By this point I honestly had my fill of BTR :) so I left to go on about my day.
